How to optimize your resume
Most resumes are rejected before a human reads them. Here's how to fix that.
1. Match keywords to the job posting
Every job posting is a list of keywords an ATS scans for. Use the exact words the employer uses.
2. Lead with impact, not duties
Don't describe your job. Describe what you achieved. "Reduced page load by 60%" beats "Responsible for performance."
3. Quantify everything you can
Numbers stand out. Team size, revenue, users, time saved, percentage improvement.
4. One page unless you have 10+ years
Recruiters spend an average of 6 seconds on a resume. Make every word count.
